Adolescence is a period from 10-19 years of age which brings forth its own unique challenges and
rapid physical, cognitive and emotional changes. Our ObGyn department at Pran hospital offers
comprehensive care for puberty, menstrual health and sexual health through adolescent clinic. We
educate the adolescent population and their caregivers on pubertal body changes, attainment of
first periods or menarche and offer treatment for irregular, painful or heavy menstrual bleeding and
conditions causing amenorrhea or lack or delay of periods. We diagnose and treat conditions such as
PCOS and Endometriosis which contribute to future fertility problems. We advocate for menstrual
hygiene, prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), offer contraception
counselling and options and vaccination services including HPV vaccination for prevention of cervical
cancer. We ensure a smooth and worry free transition through the years into adulthood.
